Members of the Skunk Brigade traveled to Washington to attend the Annual Kettle Creek Battlefield Association Banquet on Friday night, February 7, at 6 p.m. at the Washington Country Club. The Skunk Brigade attendees were Steve Burke, Dess Smith III, Lee Herron and Bernard Martin. All four of them participated in the Georgia Color Guard in presenting The Colors led by the National Color Guard Commander Scott Collins. After a few introductions, they enjoyed a delicious dinner. The speaker for the evening was SAR member John T. Trussell who presented his program of “Marquis de Lafayette American Tour 1824-1825”.
