Johnson County will conduct the Adrian Special Election to be held March 18, 2025. Voters will cast their ballot for three vacant seats – Mayor and two Council seats (Post 2 & 4), following the resignation of Mayor Wynola Smith and Councilmembers Robert Fountain and Orweco Hutchinson.
Qualifying for the seat of Mayor are Sandra Bailes and Wynola Smith. Qualifying for the Council seats for Post 2 are Bruce Miller and Sandra Vawter. Suzanne Poole Hutchinson and William Richardson qualified for the vacant Post 4 seat.
Advance voting will be held at the Johnson County Annex, 2484 W. Elm St., Wrightsville beginning February 24 and ending March 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Annex will be open on Saturday, March 1 and Saturday, March 8 from 9a.m. – 5p.m.for advance voting.
On Election Day, voters will cast their ballot at the Adrian City Hall from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
