February 17
Complainant stated she was traveling on I16 when she struck a traffic cone that blew into her vehicle causing damages. C/p advised she purchased replacement parts but is seeking compensation from the entity that set the cones out. C/p was advised to contact GDOT.
Complainant stated he and his siter/offender were left property by their mother and both parcels join together and split a driveway. C/p stated the land has been surveyed and offender has been parking her vehicle in the driveway blocking c/p’s entrance to his property.
February 20
Deputy observed a vehicle pulling a trailer with no tag, at which time he performed a traffic stop. As deputy was approaching the vehicle, he could smell a strong odor of marijuana. Officer asked the driver for his license and asked if he had been smoking, and he stated he had just smoked. Officer informed him he had probable cause to search the vehicle and asked if there was anything in the vehicle at which point the driver stated there was marijuana and cocaine in the center console. While searching, deputy also found two empty beer cans and an open beer can and driver admitted he had been drinking. Driver was transported to EmCo Jail.
February 21
Deputy responded to Foskey Rd. in reference to stolen property. Complainant stated he is a representative of a repo company and provided paperwork on a boom lift that was rented from Home Depot out of TN and sold through false pretenses. Victim stated he purchased the lift if Corner Stone, GA. C/p stated he tracked the lift through GPS tracker and stated there have been multiple reports of this exact incident through multiple states and believes it’s the same people. Rental agreement was made with offender out of Decatur. Victim turned the item over to be recovered.
February 22
Deputies were dispatched to Glenwood Rd. in reference to complainant stating someone was outside her residence. C/p stated she heard someone at her backdoor and wasn’t sure if they were trying to get in. C/p advised this is not the first time she has reported about persons being on her property.
