Mr. Tommy Robertson left this life peacefully on February 8, 2025, at the age of 72. Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 12 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Swainsboro, with the Reverend Guy Akins officiating. Eulogist was Reverend Charles Wiggins.
Mr. Robertson was born June 24, 1952 in Jenkins County to the late Mr. Harrison Strong and Mrs. Josie Lee Strong. He was a dedicated member of Trinity Baptist Church where he served as an active deacon. Tommy was known for having many talents. He retired from Plant Vogtle in Waynesboro, where he worked in security for over 30 years. He was known for having a sharp mind and speaking his mind no matter what anyone else thought.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mrs. Mamie Joyce Robertson and two sisters, Betty Norman and Mary Robertson.
Tommy leaves the following loved ones behind to cherish his memory: two daughters, Ms. Tamika Robertson and Mrs. Chernesia Jackson (Micheal) both of Swainsboro; seven sons, Mr. Tyrone Clark (Yacura), Mr. Nakia Phillips (Kessa), Mr. Tommy Robertson Jr., Mr. Tyson Hackett (Darlene), Mr. Gary Hackett (Shiwandica) all of Swainsboro, Mr. Keith Lowery (Kate) of Atlanta, and Mr. Mitchell Hackett of Houston, Texas; three brothers, Mr. Leo Strom of South Carolina, Rev. Clifton Bates of Waynesboro, and Mr. John Fletcher, Jr. of Dayton, Ohio; one sister, Ms. Fannie Williams of Trotwood Ohio; one special friend, Mr. John A. Harris; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
