Tomlinson Funeral Home & Crematory announces the death of Mrs. Joyce M. Banegas, age 64, of Swainsboro, on January 23, 2025, at her residence.
Joyce was born in Swainsboro, daughter of the late Elton McCoy and Annie Clyde Daniels McCoy. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Wayne McCoy. She loved her work as a CNA. Joyce loved her children and grandchildren. She loved dancing, watch-ing movies with her nephew Elton Sheppard, and going to Miami and Atlanta to visit her husband’s family.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 24, at 7 p.m. from the Tomlinson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jim Harrell officiating. Family received friends Friday, January 24, from 6 to 7 p.m.
Family members include her husband, Julio Cesar Banegas; daughters, Jodi Lynn Colter (Ter-rel) and Jennie Faircloth; sons, James Richard Faircloth, II and Jacob Trey Faircloth; four sis-ters, six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Tomlinson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
