The Brier Creek Artillery traveled to Augusta to present their program to the William Few Chapters, Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution on Monday night, December 2, at 6:30 p.m. The Artillery group is made up of members of the Brier Creek Chapter Sylvania and the Wiregrass Chapter Swainsboro, Chapter President Steve Burke, 1st Vice President Brier Creek Chapter Lee Herron and Brier Creek Chaplain Bernard Martin. Each one of these Compatriots has built his very own six-pounder cannon and fires it regularly at events all over the State of Georgia and have been trained and certified by the National Civil War Artillery Association. In attendance at the William Few Chapters meeting was the Georgia Society President Ed Rigel, Jr.
