November 25
Deputy observed a vehicle on Griffin Ferry Rd. without a registration plate, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. The driver informed deputy that he did not have a valid license. While speaking with the driver and passenger, deputy realized previously stopped them in a different vehicle and recovered illegal drugs from the vehicle. Deputy asked the occupants to step out of the vehicle and requested K9 and he was on scene by the time the occupants exited the vehicle. Both drug K9s provided a positive alert coming from the vehicle and a quantity of meth was found. The driver stated he did not wish to speak without an attorney and the passenger asked if he could speak to his “mother” on the phone to which deputy allowed. Deputy allowed the two to speak privately and upon returning to obtain the phone from offender, he stated that the stuff in the vehicle was his. Deputy asked the driver what he was speaking about, and he informed him the stuff in the cigarette pack. Deputy then asked him if he changed his mind and wished to speak with him and he stated he did. Offender then asked what was in the cigarette pack and he informed it was meth. The drug unit investigator was on scene and took over the case and assisted in searching the vehicle Driver was arrested and transported to EmCo Jail.
November 27
Deputy responded to Wincore in reference to damage to property. Complainant stated offender went to her residence and told her he needed her to drive him somewhere and c/p refused because she has an active TPO against offender. C/p stated offender then became irate and struck her vehicle in three places with an unknown object which dented both passenger side doors and busted the passenger side mirror. C/p provided a video on her cellphone of offender in her yard then running away once he realized she was recording. Deputy was advised by Stillmore PD that they have dealt with c/p and offender through numerous domestic disputes and have learned that offender pays all of c/p’s bills and c/p was observed picking offender up and driving him around shortly after the TPO was served.

Deputy responded to Crider in reference to a collision report. Complainant advised he was driving to work on Hwy 192 South and something hit his car and all the air bags deployed. C/p stated he was out for appx. 15 minutes and did not remember anything from the accident. C/p advised he walked for two hours from the scene to Crider then used the phone to call 911. C/p did not have any visual injuries and denied EMS evaluation. C/p stated he thinks someone may have hit him. Deputy went to the scene appx. 2.3 miles from Crider and from visual evidence, it appeared c/p was either driving too fast for conditions on a curve and lost control or fell asleep, which resulted in the vehicle leaving the roadway and striking a tree. C/p advised he would have his own wrecker service recover the vehicle.
Deputy received a report of a possible assault case. Upon speaking with complainant, he advised offender confronted victim about an incident that occurred on 11/27 where victim accidentally walked into a bathroom while offender’s wife was inside. Victim suffers from a mental disability and has the mental capacity of a minor child. C/p advised he found out about the incident after it had already occurred when victim went inside with a swollen black eye. C/p later had victim taken to EMC for evaluation. Deputy then spoke with victim at the hospital, and he stated when he walked in on his niece, he closed his eyes and apologized and closed the door immediately. Victim stated his niece said not to worry about it, it was an accident, and victim didn’t think much of it anymore. Victim did advise that he mentioned to offender that his niece had accepted his apology and was later confronted in the hallway by offender and offender punched him at least two times that he can remember, as he just stood there with his hands down because he did not want to fight and does not know how. Victim stated offender threw him onto the couch, then onto the floor, then he was thrown outside and down the stairs. Victim stated he woke up in the yard on his stomach and didn’t recall anything after he was thrown outside due to him blacking out.
Victim had a large hematoma to his left eye and a large bruise to the right side of his lower back. Victim was x-rayed and a CT scan was done, and results are pending. Victim stated he normally stays away from offender due to his temper. C/p is the legal guardian of victim. Deputy will continue the investigation.
Deputy met with victim in reference to a theft believed to have occurred on 11/18. Victim stated suspect was with her when she discovered her credit card was missing and was later informed through her bank that the suspect used her card at one ATM and three other businesses located in Toombs County totaling $700. Victim will be pressing charges.
Deputy observed a four-wheeler on Griffin Ferry Rd. with no taillights. He attempted to conduct a traffic stop, however the driver began to flee.
