November 8

Deputies responded to Jet Food Store in reference to complainant stated he was talking with a friend and offender went up to him yelling and got in his face. C/p stated offender said the firearm c/p had on his hip was the only thing keeping him safe and c/p handed the firearm to his friend and before he turned around, offender struck him in the back of the head then multiple more times in the upper body and head. Deputies watched the video footage, and it showed everything c/p stated.

Deputy followed a vehicle in the left lane for over a mile, preventing traffic to pass, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Deputy asked the driver for his license, and he provided three different insurance cards that were all expired. The driver seemed extremely nervous and was visibly shaking. Deputy asked the driver to step out of the vehicle and as he started to get out, he became combative, and offender was handcuffed. K9 officer arrived and K9 alerted, so the vehicle was searched to find a quantity of drugs and cash. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.

November 12

Deputy was dispatched to EMC ER in reference to victim being bit by a bulldog. Victim appeared to have a large laceration to the top of her foot that required stitches. Victim and witness stated they were riding the golf cart on Ebenezer Church Rd. when the bulldog jumped on the golf cart and attacked victim. Victim and witness advised there have been several issues with the same dog being aggressive towards people. AC1 was contacted and advised deputy later that they picked it up and would quarantine it for 10 days due to it not being up to date on rabies shots. Deputy spoke with the owner of the dog who advised the dog does bark at people passing from time to time but is normally not aggressive towards people. He stated the victim and witness had small dogs with them and his dog was barking at them as they passed by the first time. The owner was advised to keep his dog in his yard.

Deputy spoke with complainant in reference to trash being thrown in his yard. C/p advised there was a credit card bill addressed to offender amongst the trash and Code Enforcement was contacted.

Deputy met with complainant who stated her residence received damages during the storm and a contractor gave her an estimate. C/p advised she paid offender $6,000 and he advised he would return with paperwork detailing repairs and a full invoice for the cost so she could send it to her insurance and FEMA, but offender has not returned to being repairs nor will he answer her calls.

Deputies responded to Daisy Ln. in reference to a dispute. Victim advised offender has anger issues and they got into an argument and offender hit her in the face with a vape. Victim stated she called someone to go get her, but offender would not let her leave. Offender was GOA. Deputies advised victim to get her things and removed her from the residence and transported her to a safe location. Upon further investigation, it was found that this was the fifth time in six months that deputies had been called to the residence for the same problems. Deputies advised victim that it may be time to seek love somewhere else.

November 14

Deputies responded to S. Main St. in reference to a motor vehicle accident on private property.

Victim works for FedEx and was delivering a package to Walgreen’s and noticed a trash bag on S. Main St. so he parked his truck by the front door like he usually does and went to get the trash bag out of the road. Victim got back to his truck and offender confronted him about parking at the door then went inside Walgreen’s and started yelling him. When victim exited the store, offender had pulled in front of victim’s truck, blocking him in.

November 15

Deputies responded to W. 3rd Ave. in reference to a report of a cellphone being taken. Complainant stated he bought the phone for offender, and she won’t give it back. Offender stated c/p broke her phone and had to buy her a new one and now he wants it back, but she helped pay for it.

Complainant stated an individual claiming to be an officer told her she had two failure to appear for jury duty and was given two citation numbers and advised it would cost her $500 each and that she had warrants for her arrest with a 24-72 hour hold if she were arrested. C/p stated the subject advised she could make a payment by phone and the charges would be lifted, but she did not give them any payment info. C/p was assured this was a scam.

November 16

Deputies were dispatched to W. 3rd St. in reference to an unwanted person harassing the caller. Complainant stated she took a stalking order out against offender, and he was served with papers at her residence the same day. C/p advised that since offender being served, he had continued to call her asking her to drop the order against him and he constantly rides by her residence and pulls in her yard and gets out of his vehicle and begins beating on her front door. C/p was advised to report the violation of the stalking order to EmCo Superior Court. Deputies attempted to make contact with offender but were unsuccessful.

November 17

Deputy was dispatched to I-16 to assist GSP on a traffic stop. Trooper advised he stopped offender for a window tint violation and discovered a clear plastic bag containing pressed pills consistant with ecstasy. Deputy was advised to place a hold on offender, and he was transported to EmCo Jail.

Deputies responded to JM Spearman Rd. in reference to a domestic. Victim stated offender picked her up by her ears and was yelling at her and has done this multiple times. Offender stated he never put his hands on victim, but victim has jumped on him and hit him multiple times in the past.
