September 16
Officer responded to Azalea Circle in reference to a report of a stolen firearm. Complainant advised that he discovered that his firearm had been stolen out of his vehicle. He stated that he last remembered seeing the gun on Monday evening.
September 20
911 dispatched officers to East Pine Street to take a report regarding roaming dogs aggressively chasing c/p on South Racetrack Street. C/p stated that he was walking, and the dogs began chasing him.
911 dispatched officers to Richard Street in reference to c/p wanting to make a report about her neighbor’s dog killing her cat. C/p stated that earlier in the morning, she observed her neighbor’s dog inside her fenced yard. She later found her cat deceased in her bushes. The neighbor denied the allegations, stating they have an underground fence, and the dog couldn’t have gotten out.
Officers were dispatched to respond to SPD for a walk in report. C/p informed officer that he would like to report damage to his company vehicle. He did not know exactly where the damage occurred, but he had made multiple stops throughout the day.
Officer responded to Stevens Drive in reference to a 911 hang up call. Officers were advised that a man and woman were audibly arguing before the hang up. C/p was contacted upon arrival and stated that everything was okay, and she didn’t mean to make the call. C/p had a swollen left eye and was asked where her boyfriend was. She said he was in the house and believed he had her car keys. When asking her if he hit her, she seemed reluctant but said no.
Officer took a walk in report for stolen items. C/p stated that he had been hospitalized for the past few weeks and when returning home found multiple items missing.
September 21
Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a headlight out. A strong odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle and a search was conducted. The vehicle also had no valid insurance on it along with the driver having a suspended license.
Officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a report of prowling. Offender was asking people for money. Offender was arrested.
Officer observed a vehicle driving at a very fast rate estimated at 70 mph in a 35 MPH zone. Offender stated that he was going to get his sister because someone was about to fight her. The driver blew over the legal limit for underage consumption and was arrested.
September 22
Officer was dispatched to Lewis Street in reference to a domestic. C/p stated that when she arrived home, her boyfriend started accusing her of cheating on him. They began to argue, and he hit her several times. It was apparent that she was under the influence of alcohol.
September 23
Officer was dispatched to McLeod Bridge Road in reference to a bicycle theft. The victim stated that someone took two bicycles out of her yard.
Officer was dispatched to Emanuel County Emergency Room in reference to a report. C/p stated that she met up with an old friend a few days before to clear things up between the two. She went to his house a few days later and he forced himself on her. She stated that she did block him.
Officer responded to SPD for a walk in report. The victim stated that someone committed fraud on her bank account, and she needed to make a report.
September 24
911 dispatched officers to SPD in reference to someone wanting to file a stolen vehicle report. C/p stated that the offender took her vehicle without permission and would not return it. She stated that she also needed to file a report on another offender and her father jumping on her. The other victim that accompanied the c/p gave a statement as well. They then called the offender, and they explained that she tried to avoid them and they attacked her.
Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with dark window tint and attempting to elude the police. Driver was also found to have a suspended license and was arrested.
Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to maintain lane. Offender was arrested for DUI.
September 25
911 dispatched officers to North Main Street in reference to an unwanted subject. Officers were then advised that a domestic dispute was occurring. C/p stated that while she was in the shower, an unknown woman entered the bathroom and began threatening her and slapped her. The offender stated that she had been contacted to take c/p’s place as caregiver for the homeowner. She stated that she tried to use the bathroom while c/p was in the shower and c/p pushed her out of the bathroom. The homeowner stated that c/p had been abusing him and c/p denied the allegations, stating that he has dementia.
Officer received a walk in complaint at SPD. C/p reported that her money was taken from self-checkout at Walmart. She stated that she accidentally left two $20 bills in the machine after completing her payment and someone else took it. Footage was viewed and the offender was spotted taking the money.
Officers were dispatched to Center Street in reference to a female that called and wanted the police but would not say what was wrong. C/p stated that the offender choked her and ran away. There were no visible marks on c/p but she was thick tongued and there was a heavy odor of alcohol coming from her breath.

September 26
Officer received a call from c/p stating that he needed to make a report for shoplifting. C/p provided footage from the store showing two females entering the store and taking multiple items of clothing, a knife, and a koozie. The offenders were later located by police.
Officer was dispatched to Fowler Street in reference to a stolen vehicle. C/p stated that she was supposed to pick up a vehicle, but it was not there at the meeting time. Her daughter reported that she left the key in the vehicle for her mother to pick it up and someone must have taken it.
September 27
Officer responded to Roger Shaw Street in reference to suspicious persons around the front of the store. The caller believed they were stealing items. No one was located around the store, but the front window had been busted out due to the storm. as officer was leaving, he was approached by a man who would not identify himself. He stated that a group of females were stealing items from the store.
Officer was dispatched to East Main Street and Lake Luck Drive in reference to a damage to vehicle report where the vehicle was still in the roadway. The driver did not have her insurance card on her, but she had her license.
C/p came to SPD to file a report of a theft at his residence on West Main Street. He stated that an unknown person stole four pump-up spray bottles from under his carport.
September 28
911 dispatched officers to SPD in reference to someone wanting to file a report. C/p stated that her, her boyfriend, and her children were at their residence when a man pulled up threatening her boyfriend.
Officer was dispatched to North Main Street in reference to a report of theft needing to be made. C/p stated that the offender stole multiple things and also abused him.
Officer was dispatched to Industrial Way in reference to a damaged vehicle. C/p stated he was traveling and hit a tree that was in the roadway.
September 29
Officer responded to a call in the area of King Circle Drive in reference to a reckless driver with children inside of the vehicle. The vehicle was located, and an altercation struck between all parties. The child was found in the vehicle which was not running and was recovered.
C/p came to SPD to report that someone unknown to her stole her generator from her business.
September 30
C/p came to SPD to file a walk in report. He stated that while he was waiting in line for gas, he observed a male subject harassing an elderly female who was attempting to pump gas. C/p attempted to de-escalate the situation, and the male subject punched him in the face.
Officer was dispatched to Harmon Park in reference to someone hearing a woman screaming. C/p stated he went to check the noise out and he found another male attempting to hit a female at the gazebo. Officer walked toward the gazebo and observed a man swimming across the lake. When catching the offender, there was an odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath. Offender was arrested. The victim stated that she did not want to press charges. Marijuana was also found in offender’s bag.
Officer observed a busted window in the Tobacco and Vape Store and called other officers. Boxes of cigarettes were scattered around the store. Other various items were located as well.
SPD dispatched officers to respond to SPD in reference to a walk-in police report. Officer observed that the entire left side of c/p’s face was swollen, and his nose was bleeding. C/p advised that the offender had been threatening him and then assaulted him.
Officer responded to Arden Drive in reference to a report. C/p stated that her neighbor walked into her yard and was yelling at her about where she had her dog chained up. The offender stated that he did not go in her yard.
911 dispatched officers to West Church Street in reference to an active domestic dispute involving a firearm. Officers have responded to this location before for previous domestic disputes. The offender was arrested.
Officer was dispatched to Maurice Drive in reference to a damage to vehicle report. C/p stated that she parked her vehicle on Shepard Drive before she went to Savannah and returned, and the back window was busted out.
October 1
Officers were dispatched to Harvey’s in reference to a man with a possible firearm. Officer located offender and he would not comply and threatened to beat the officer up. Offender was arrested.
Officer observed a vehicle run a stop sign and conducted a traffic stop. Cocaine was found in the driver’s possession and was arrested.
October 3
Officer responded to SPD in reference to a report needing to be made about damage to vehicle. C/p stated that he was at his son’s residence during the hurricane and damage was made to his vehicle.
Officer was dispatched to West Main Street in reference to the offender breaking the victim’s vehicle window. The victim stated that the offender had been drinking heavily and busted the window out of his car. He did not want to press charges but wanted the offender to get help with her drinking problem. A citation was written for disorderly conduct.
