On Friday, August 9, three veterans from the “Veterans at the Library” traveled to Daniels Chevrolet to receive a donation from Richard Daniels. This is the third year in a row that Daniels Chevrolet has supported this National Project with funds so that we can place a wreath on veteran’s graves.
This year, the wreaths will be placed on Veterans graves on Saturday, December 14. So far this year, the veterans have identified over 2,000 veterans’ graves in more than 35 cemeteries of the 182 cemeteries in Emanuel County. The Veterans at the Library need much help from individuals, churches or groups coming forward to walk cemetery’s and take charge of those cemeteries to place the wreaths out on December 14.
To find out the cemetery’s that need walking and taking charge, please contact Scotty Nasworthy at 478-455-3264. We only have a couple months before we have to order the wreaths and pay for them and also need donations to help pay for these wreaths.
