July 23
Complainant came into SPD to make a report of harassment. He stated that the offender had been sending him several messages through Facebook about his brother. He stated that he only replied to the first message but had still been receiving them since the Tuesday prior. C/p provided screenshots and stated that the reason for the harassment is because his brother is dating the offender’s ex-wife.
July 25
Officer was watching a 4 way stop and saw a vehicle run a stop sign. The vehicle’s information came back with no insurance and canceled registration. The vehicle was towed.
911 dispatched officers to Emanuel Medical Center in reference to a security officer wanting to file a report of criminal trespass. C/p stated that the offender came to the hospital cafeteria begging for free food. He stated that the offender has been told multiple times that staff did not want him there.
C/p came into SPD to make a report. She stated that her and the offender were in civil court in reference to a civil quit when the offender threatened her.
Officer was dispatched to East Pine Street in reference to a call. C/p stated that her upstairs neighbor was talking about her, and she thought she overheard a threatening comment.
Officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to two shoplifters. 911 updated that the two offenders had left the premises and were walking towards Taco Bell. Both offenders were arrested.
Officer was dispatched to Gumlog Road in reference to a call where a female was hitting on someone else’s vehicle. C/p stated that the offender would not move from in front of her vehicle so she could leave. Upon officer arrival, the offender was still irate, and the officer attempted to detain her. She resisted but was detained after backup arrived.
July 26
Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding. The driver also did not have a driver’s license. The offender was placed under arrest.
Officer responded to Youngblood Street in reference to a dog nuisance. The victim stated that earlier in the morning a large dog killed a small fawn on his driveway. C/p is concerned for the safety of the children in the area.
Officers were dispatched to South Main Street in reference to a report. C/p stated that a year ago the offender found out that his wife was having an affair with c/p. C/p stated that the disagreement was settled then but recently the offender has been threatening him.
911 dispatched officers to Pratt Avenue in reference to c/p wanting to file a report about a dispute between his ex-girlfriend and himself. C/p stated that his daughter was at his house for visitation when her mother came over to pick her up. As they were saying their goodbyes, c/p stated that he did not like the people who have been around his daughter. Offender became angry and started hitting him.
911 dispatched officers to Walmart in reference to a male subject losing his wallet. C/p stated that he dropped his wallet in the store and could not find it.
Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with suspended registration and no insurance. Drugs were also located in the vehicle. Offender was arrested.
Officer responded to Walmart in reference to a lost wallet. Upon arrival, officer noticed an offender known to have a failure to appear warrant. Offender attempted to flee but was arrested.
911 dispatched officers to the recreation department in reference to people drag racing. The tag numbers on both vehicles came back stolen. Offenders were arrested.
Officer responded to a walk in report. C/p stated that earlier in the day two of his friends came by his house and asked if they could come inside to do drugs. He told them that he was going to walk to the store to buy an alcoholic beverage and when he returned his pellet rifle was missing.
July 27
Officer responded to a call on Brown Street in reference to the caller wanting police to be present when getting his washing machine. C/p stated that he purchased a washing machine, and it was at his ex-girlfriend’s house.

Officer made contact with offender and issued a citation for disorderly house for a house party.
Patrol units responded to Brown Street in reference to an unknown disturbance at the location from a female juvenile. Upon arrival, contact was made with offender who is the uncle of c/p. He advised that his niece locked herself in a bedroom in a residence because he threatened her for stealing his belongings.
911 dispatched officers to Walmart in reference to a domestic occurring. Officer advised that he observed a man and woman loading groceries into their vehicle when the offender became irate and began yelling in his wife’s face. The couple’s child was in the vehicle at the time. Offender was found to be during with a suspended license. The tag on the vehicle also did not belong on it either. Offender was arrested.
July 28
911 dispatched officers to file a report of a stolen tablet on Lewis Street. C/p stated that she was able to track the location of it but needed an officer. Tablet was not located.
911 dispatched shots fired in the area of Project Street. They advised a male in a white tee shirt with a gun running through yards. 911 came back and stated there was a gunshot victim at the ER. Footage of the offender was found.
July 29
Officer responded to a call on South Main Street in reference to the business wanting to criminally trespass an individual. Earlier in the day an officer went to Lambs Bridge Road and met with the individual who stated that she wanted officers to go with her to Sonic to get a separation notice. She stated that the manager would probably want to get a criminal trespass filed. Later, she stayed that she just wanted to get pay stubs and the separation not and she would leave. The manager stated that he could not give her this because they were not hers, that her husband was a shift manager, and he walked out and quit. The offender was criminally trespassed.
Officer responded to Grady Street for the purpose of investigating a theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with c/p who stated that she believes her brother took her sons XBOX and controllers out of her house.
July 30
Officer was called to SPD in reference to a walk in report. Officer made contact with the victim who stated that he has been letting his friend stay with him and she stole some of his personal belongings, so he asked her to leave.
Officer responded to a call on Lucky Street near Hopkins Street in reference to an individual saying that dogs were chasing her and keeping her from being able to walk down the street.
Officer observed a vehicle failing to maintain lane. The driver had a suspended license and was arrested.
Officer was dispatched to Liberty Street in reference to a report. C/p stated that she got home from work and pulled into her yard and some fluids came from her vehicle and as she went around the house the vehicle would not stop so she hit a tree. The officer asked her if she had any medication or anything to drink and she stated, “only Jesus”.
July 31
Officer responded to a call at Brown Street in reference to a report of domestic violence. C/p stated that he and his ex-girlfriend had an argument the night prior. He stated that his girlfriend smashed his phone, and he tried to walk away, and she hit his head on a corner of a doorframe inside of the residence.
Officer responded to SPD in reference to a walk-in report. C/p stated that she was out of town and her neighbor called 911 to report a burglary and was told the homeowner had to report the crime. She stated that when she got back home two-bedroom windows were broken and a 5-gallon bucket was placed underneath the window. The only thing missing was a TV.
C/p stated that she was at the Emanuel Discount Store when her car was backed into.
Officers responded to South Main Street in reference to a stolen iPhone. C/p stated that the manager is accusing her son of stealing her phone.
August 1
Officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle and could smell an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A citation was issued.
Officer responded to a call at Zaxby’s in reference to a caller needing to make a report. C/p stated that a customer came in the restaurant and ordered food and asked her to come sit with him as he ate. She stated that the offender made her very uncomfortable by asking her personal questions. He returned later but left before he could be confronted.
