Napolean Ridgell, Jr., age 73, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024. Funeral service was held Saturday, August 3, at 1 p.m. at St. Philip Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Malachi Lockett presiding.
Mr. Ridgell was born April 20, 1951, in Monticello, AK, to the late Napolean, Sr. and Christine Handley Ridgell. He was a graduate of Monticello High School and later moved to Milwaukee, WI and began his first job as a Yello Cab driver. Napolean was later employed by Redrock Plastic Company. He was a hard worker and learned a trade and began operating heavy machinery equipment and worked for American Van Lines moving company. After moving to Swainsboro, Napolean worked at WalMart as a Merchandising Associate. He joined Pages of Life Worship Center. Mr. Ridgell is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lloyd Hutson, Willie Ridgell and Larry Ridgell; and sister, Margaret Simmons.
Mr. Ridgell leaves to cherish his memories with his wife of 46 years, Madie Wynn Ridgell; son, David Ridgell, Sr.; brother, James (Mary) Ridgell; sisters, Thelma Ridgell and Delois Ridgell; grandchildren, Davisha Ridgell, Ja’Kailey Ridgell and David Ridgell, Jr.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
