July 16
Officer responded to a call located on South Main Street in reference to a report that needed to be made. Complainant stated that she parked at the location, and when she got home later her son pointed out damage to her vehicle. She went back to that location and her husband’s place of work to check cameras, but there was no footage showing the damage being made.
July 19
Officer took a walk in report at SPD. C/p stated that she needed to make a report on her earbuds that had been stolen from her home. She stated that the offender had stolen them on the Monday prior.
Officer responded to Crump St for a homeowner stating that a door had been kicked in and the suspect may still be inside. C/p stated people were still inside the home and showed damage to the side door. Someone came to the door, but c/p stated that it was his brother that had broken into the home. As the offender came outside, he appeared nervous and under the influence of an illegal drug. A clear bag that tested positive for methamphetamine was located on the offender’s person and he was arrested.
Officer was dispatched to North Green Street in reference to a theft. The victim stated that someone had broken into his semi-truck and stolen his personal belongings along with several bank cards and his cellphone. He was advised to cancel his cards.
July 20
Officer responded to a call on Industrial Way in reference to making a report of theft from a vehicle. C/p stated that she went to the grocery store and then her sister’s house located on Industrial Way. She stated that when she woke up for work and went to her vehicle, she noticed the glove box was open and the vehicle had items scattered all in it. She stated that the only thing that was missing was a pair of sunglasses valued at $150.
Officer was dispatched to Turner Drive in reference to an entering auto. C/p stated that he went outside and opened his truck door and noticed the glovebox was opened and his belongings were scattered throughout the vehicle. He checked his other vehicles and found another car of his had been broken into too.
Officer was dispatched to SPD for someone wanting to make a report. C/p stated that she was at a residence on Williams Street when the offender approached her and began threatening her. She then left and went to SPD immediately.
July 21

Officer was patrolling and spotted a vehicle with a driver known to not have a valid license. Driver was arrested.
Officer was dispatched to Louise Street in reference to someone barging into the owner’s apartment and refusing to leave. C/p stated that one of his children had been staying with him during the summer and went to stay with his mother. He stated that the child left earlier in the day and left school supplies and other things at the house. He stated that the mother came back to the residence to get the child’s things, and when the child walked in, the mother pushed the door in and came inside the residence as well. She was asked to step outside and would not.
Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that ran a stop sign. The driver was found to have suspended registration and no insurance. The vehicle was towed, and the driver was given a ride home by a family member.
July 22
Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a headlight out. The driver was found to have a suspended drivers license. Driver was arrested and someone came to get his vehicle.
July 23
Officer was contacted by a detective who stated that he received information that the offender was in possession of illegal street drugs. Officer made contact with the offender, and he was arrested for possession of cocaine and marijuana.
July 24
Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign. When approaching the vehicle, the officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana. Driver was issued citations.
Officer responded to Mitchel Street for a screen on a window being broken. C/p stated that she noticed the screen on her window being cut.
Officer was dispatched to Lewis Street in reference to a report of damage to vehicle. C/p stated that when she went to leave for work, she noticed someone had spray painted her car ad flattened her tire.
Officer responded to a call at Harvey’s. The offender was already criminally trespassed but was making threats to people. Offender was arrested.
