Richard Larson Madison, age 80, departed this life on Friday, July 12, 2024, at Piedmont Hospital in Augusta. A Celebration of Life was held Friday, July 19, at 12 p.m. at Piney Grove Baptist Church with Elder Terrance Madison officiating.
Richard was born February 22, 1944, to the late John Madison, Sr. and Mary Walker Madison, He attended the public school system. Richard was always a hard worker and was skilled in many areas. He worked on farms, roofing, sawmill company, phone company and performed other services in the community for many years. Richard enjoyed gardening, hunting and woodworking. Mr. Madison is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe Louis Brown, Benjamin Madison, Robert Madison, Louis Madison, Sr., Willie Madision and Jessie Madison; sisters, Dorothy Madison and Ellen Cooper.
Mr. Madison leaves to cherish his memories with his brothers, Joe Louis Madison of Tampa, FL, John Madison, JR. of Swainsboro, Jimmie Madison of Savannah and Willie (Sonny) Madison of Newport News, VA; sister, Mercie Madison of Swainsboro; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
