Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. Clell J. Osburn, age 76, of Adrian, on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at his home following an extended illness. Graveside ser-vices were conducted Friday, June 28, at 12 p.m. in the Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Jonathan Shepard officiating. Military Honors were observed.
Pallbearers were Mike Claxton, Ethan Henry, Tal Henry, Michael Claxton, Mark Jenkins and Logan Fleming.
Mr. Osburn was born February 4, 1948, in Hazlehurst, to John Randall and Lois Rowell Os-burn. He graduated from Palm Beach High School in West Palm Beach, Florida. Clell was a Marine Corp Veteran having served in the Hue City Campaign and the Tet Offensive in Vi-etnam in 1968 and retired from Bellsouth after 30 years of dedicated service. He had a great love of all music, but his favorite was early and classic Rock & Roll. Clell’s hobbies included drawing and painting, but in most recent years, he thoroughly enjoyed working with his 3D printer. Mr. Osburn is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Wilma Jean Wickline.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Edie Kirkland Osburn; stepdaughters, Tamera Gaskin (Joey) of Hephzibah, Sheryl Claxton (Mike) of Midville and Rachel Henry (Tal) of Adrian; son, John Osburn (Melissa) of Vidalia; stepson, Jeff Boatright (Katy) of Midville; sister, Linda Giles of Hazlehurst; brother, Guy Randall Osburn (Melba) of Dallas; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
