The Kiwanis Club of Swainsboro held its weekly meeting on Tuesday night, June 4, at the Rustic Grille at 7 p.m. With President Cheryl Goodman presiding, they had 20 in attendance including three guests, Joelle Romanchik-Cerpovicz, and two Statesboro Kiwanis Club members, Mike Rushing and Eddie Burnset. The chocolate cake, donated by Scotty Hattaway, was won by Dess Smith. The Domino’s pizza donated by Domino’s was won by Jim Clapham. The program was hosted by Petite Garrett, who led the bingo competition. Tim Goodman got the first vertical bingo, Joelle Romanchik-Cerpovicz got the first diagonal bingo, Wanda Ellis got the first horizontal bingo, Will Barber won the 4-corners challenge, and Mary Ellen Smith was the first to fill her bingo card. President Cheryl noted the Club is donating to the Seamless Summer Meal Program in order to support the summer meal program in July. Kiwanis recently gave checks to Twin City Elementary Emanuel County Institute Media Center to support their programs, and they have given money to every K-12 school in Emanuel County this year.
