Tomlinson Funeral Home & Crematory announces the death of Mr. Marvin Wyatt Youngblood, age 84, of Swainsboro, on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at his residence. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 17, at 11 a.m. in the Hawhammock Missionary Bap-tist Church Cemetery with Military Honors rendered with Rev. Louis Pearce and Rev. Casey Shaw officiating.
Mr. Youngblood was born on May 11, 1939, in Emanuel County, to the late Elmo and Nellie Brown Youngblood. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Swainsboro. Wyatt was ordained a deacon at Hillcrest Baptist Church in 1971 and was blessed to be a lay speaker for many years and made many lifelong friends. He was an Army Veteran with the 82nd Air-borne Division. Wyatt retired from True Value.
Mr. Youngblood is survived by his wife of 60 years, Wanda Youngblood of Swainsboro; son, Kendall Youngblood (Karen) of Gig Harbor, WA; daughter, Sharon Patrick (Kevin) of Brook-let; granddaughter, Ashley Rushing (Brett) of Brooklet; grandson, Tommy Patrick (Emily) of Brooklet; sister, Myra Underwood of Greenville, SC; brothers, George Youngblood of Granite-ville, SC and Dean Youngblood (Gayle) of Union Mills, NC; several nieces, nephews, and ex-tended family.
The family would like to offer special thanks to the Pruitt Hospice and all of Mr. Youngblood’s caregivers.
