The results of the Georgia Presidential Primary and District 1, County Commissioner vote for Emanuel County are as follows: in the District 1 Commissioner race, a total of 683 votes were cast. Kawame Coleman received 155, Allen Farley received 15, Kenny Griffin received 99, Chris Jukes received 268 and Quin McKinney with 135 votes. Coleman and Jukes will vie for the commissioner post in the April 9, 2024, runoff.
The wrap-up for the Democrat Presidential Primary shows a total vote cast of 622 with the incumbent Joseph Biden polling 524, Dean Phillips received 27 votes, and Marianne Williamson with 16 votes. On the Republican side, a total of 1,784 votes were recorded with Doug Burgum receiving 1 vote, Chris Christie receiving 2 votes, Ron DeSantis with 11 votes, Nicki Haley receiving 106 votes, Asa Hutchinson with 1 vote, Vivek Ramaswamy with 1 vote, David Stuckenberg with 1 vote and Donald J. Trump receiving 1,653 votes.
Your next round of voting will be the April 9, 2024, runoff for the District 1 Commissioner seat. Following that, the May 21, 2024, Georgia election will be coming up and will include many local and state positions.
