Carolyn Williams Boatright, age 76, of Swainsboro, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Scott Health and Rehab Center. Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 31, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Reverend Louis Pearce and Reverend Ray Jenkins officiating. Interment followed in the Swainsboro City Cemetery. The Family received friends Monday, October 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Tomlinson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Jonathan Edge, Seth Brewer, Jimmy Hadden, Mike Hobbs, Asa Garrett and Joey Crapps.
Carolyn was born in Swainsboro, daughter of the late Felton and Geneva Newsome Williams. She had retired from the Emanuel County Magistrate Court. Carolyn was a member of Hawhammock Baptist Church. Mrs. Boatright is preceded in death by her husband, John Boatright; son, James Edward Boatright; and brothers, Hugh Williams and Larry Williams.
Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Boatright; grandchildren-, Tabatha Brewer (Seth) and Jonathan Edge (Staci); great-grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas, Elijah and Scarlett
Arrangements were by Tomlinson Funeral Home and Crematory.
