Walbarts speak at Twin City Lions Club meeting

The Twin City Lions Club held their first meeting of 2024 Thursday, January 4, at Simply Southern in Twin City. Lion Tommy Neal invited Josh and Tiffany Walbart to be his guest speakers. The Walbarts are originally from North Carolina but have been in the Garfield area for many years. The Walbarts are affiliated with New Beginnings in Christ in Garfield and have been on several missions with other from NBIC led by their pastor, Mike Ogden. They recently visited Uganda, a country in east-central Africa. They’ve completed five missions to Uganda in recent years and spend most of their time in the city of Kampala. The Walbarts shared their thoughts on how privileged we are as Americans and seeing a third world country in person where famine and poverty are common has made them appreciate so much more what we have as Americans. Their missions are focused on spreading the Word of Jesus in the area but also helping them build needed facilities and other infrastructure related needs.
